NOTE: Activation: Because the active properties of Pilkington ActivTM Self Cleaning Glass are powered by sunlight, several days exposure to the sun are required after installation or manual cleaning before the self cleaning process begins to work. Manual Cleaning: Under normal circumstances, natural rain or a quick hosing is sufficient to clean the exterior of your new windows with Pilkington ActivTM Self Cleaning Glass. For heavy soiling, or if you do want to clean them yourself, it's important to follow the cleaning directions carefully, using only a soft cloth and warm soapy water, since an abrasive cleaner that scratches the surface of the glass can affect the performance of the product.
